Back to Barcelona's wild garage underground of the 90s! THE FLASHBACK FIVE were a bunch of 60s-obsessed freaks with a serious taste for raw garage punk, Nederbeat, R&B, folk-rock and psychedelic sounds. Think Q65, THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHT and THE MORNING DEW, with the occasional trip into stranger territory! Recorded in a tiny Barcelona basement studio in July 1995, "Not Exactly A Poem" originally appeared in 1996 as the very FIRST release on the now legendary Guerssen Records label!

Rather than sticking to one particular garage revival formula, THE FLASHBACK FIVE mixed primitive beat and punk attitude with folk-rock melodies and psychedelic twists, capturing the spirit of a band that clearly knew its obscure 60s records inside out. Twelve tracks from the Spanish underground, recorded shortly before the band called it quits after six years together.

Now back on vinyl for Guerssen's 30th anniversary, freshly remastered by original bass player Quim García to give the bass and drums a little more punch without losing the character of those original recordings. Strictly limited to just 400 copies worldwide! A fine piece of 90s garage revival history and a particularly tasty one for fans of Spanish garage, Nederbeat and vintage psychedelia. GET HIP!
