What happens when Switzerland's king of primitive blues trash meets a South African synth-pop outfit? Apparently, all hell breaks loose! REVEREND BEAT-MAN joins forces with Johannesburg's BYE BENECO for "Blood Orange", six gloriously strange excursions into psychedelic blues, trash rock'n'roll, twisted synthesizers and dance music from another dimension. Forget musical boundaries, these people seem determined to kick them down and dance on the remains!

The unlikely collaboration began at Basel's Agora festival in 2023, where musicians from completely different backgrounds were thrown together to create something new. What started as a one-week experiment turned into an explosive live performance, followed by studio recordings with SEBASTIAN ZWAHLEN at Strawberry Sound. The result is a wild collision of Beat-Man's unmistakable blues-trash spirit and BYE BENECO's psychedelic electronic sounds, with six tracks that refuse to sit comfortably in any particular genre.

From "A Date With Myself" and "Blood Orange" to "Howling At The Dead Moon" and "Jesus Christ Twist", this is a wonderfully odd meeting of musical minds. Primitive blues meets synthedelic weirdness, with enough rhythmic madness to get even the most stubborn garage punk moving. Strange stuff? Absolutely. Just the way we like it!
