The 1968 debut album from Nazz gets a deluxe vinyl reissue, bringing back one of the key records where American garage rock, psychedelia and sharp '60s pop songwriting collided. Led by a very young Todd Rundgren, Nazz had the hooks of a great pop band but enough fuzz and attitude to keep things firmly rooted in the garage.

"Open My Eyes" remains the killer here - a fuzzed-out psych-garage classic - while "Hello It's Me" is the original Nazz recording of the song Rundgren would later turn into a major solo hit. Across the album, punchy guitar tracks sit alongside more melodic and increasingly ambitious material, already pointing towards Rundgren's later work.
