From art heists and lycanthropy to misunderstood creatures and spectral rodents, the themes are as unconventional as the music itself. Songs like 'Crab Monster' and 'Miss Baker's Dream' are steeped in whimsy, while tracks like 'Zombie Rats' and 'Creeping Things' lean into the eerie and bizarre. The production, helmed by Scott Montoya at COMA Studio in Long Beach, CA, captures the band's raw, spontaneous energy while adding a layer of intimacy that draws listeners into their surreal world.
