The Gentlemen's 1966 monster "It's A Cry'n Shame" has long been regarded as one of the absolute peaks of the genre - it even ranked #2 in Mike Markesich's "TeenBeat Mayhem" list of the 1,000 greatest '60s garage recordings. And rightly so: vicious fuzz guitar, pounding drums, sneering vocals and two-and-a-half minutes of teenage perfection.

This superb Boy Wonder reissue puts two versions together. The A-side features the Crimson version - the same recording originally released on Vandan in 1966, now properly mastered for superior sound. The flip has the much rawer Boyd demo version, familiar to garage maniacs from "Back From The Grave #9". The classic Vandan version also appeared on the legendary "Pebbles Vol. 5".

Best of all, this is a fully authorised release made with the cooperation of the artists, not another dubious garage repro. It comes with an 8-page booklet, while this very limited green vinyl edition also includes a full-colour Gentlemen postcard.
