Primitive moody garage punk from Volos, Greece! The Rubbers are steeped in the raw '60s sounds preserved on "Pebbles" and "Back From The Grave", mixing fuzz, moody melodies and suitably snotty garage attitude without trying to make any of it sound too modern.

The band aren't exactly newcomers either, featuring members with a history in Greek underground outfits including The Frantic Five, The Jacks, The Overtones and Tenderfeet. After an earlier self-released cassette, "Summer Is Gone" is their first appearance on vinyl and delivers four tracks of wonderfully primitive garage punk - originals alongside obscure covers, all played with the enthusiasm of a band that clearly spends far too much time listening to battered '60s 45s.

Exactly the sort of record Sunnyboy66 does best: raw, uncomplicated and made for people who still believe fuzz guitar and three chords are perfectly sufficient.
