Christmas with The Heck? Hell yes! The Dutch garagepunk maniacs have unplugged their guitars and recorded eight gloriously scruffy Christmas tunes, proving that you don't need a wall of fuzz to kick some serious rock'n'roll ass! "The Christmas Album" is an acoustic garagepunk Christmas party with plenty of heart, a healthy dose of bad attitude and absolutely none of that dreadful shopping-mall Christmas nonsense.

Alongside their own festive little monsters like "Christmas Is Knocking At Your Door", "Bad Christmas", "Dream On (At Christmas Time)" and the wonderfully titled "No More Fucking Christmas", the boys tackle The Sonics' "Santa Claus" and deliver a beautiful version of Reigning Sound's "If Christmas Can't Bring You Home". There's even a saxophone solo on "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year", a xylophone popping up when you least expect it, and some lovely 12-string guitar and banjo courtesy of Bernard Gepken.

Recorded at Henri's Mankeef Studio, this eight-track 10" is packed with the sort of ragged charm, melancholy and rock'n'roll spirit that makes Christmas just about bearable. Whether you're feeling festive, miserable, drunk or simply desperate to escape the family dinner, The Heck have got you covered. Merry bloody Christmas!
